  • No weeknight or weekend pager call Practice Setting
  • Acute Care Hospital
  • Supervised model
  • MD to CRNA ratio: 1:4
  • MDs also perform cases (rare MD solo cases)
  • 10 anesthesia rooms
  • Charting system: Epic Case Mix
  • General Surgery
  • Neuro
  • Orthopedics
  • OB
  • Urology
  • Gynecology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Endoscopy Responsibilities
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtain and verify patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Continuous monitoring of patient physiological status
