Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner, a vital role dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. In this position, you will utilize your advanced nursing skills to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, ensuring comprehensive care tailored to individual needs. You'll work closely with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to promote health, manage acute and chronic conditions, and support patient education. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop personalized care plans Manage acute pain, perform suturing, administer injections, IV infusions, and catheterizations with precision and adherence to sterile techniques Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and medical records management Provide specialized care in areas including gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, and infectious disease care Perform diagnostic evaluations using sonography or laboratory testing; interpret
ICD-10/ICD-9/ICD
coding for accurate billing and documentation Assist with procedures such as spinal taps, cardiac catheterizations, dermal fillers, esthetic laser treatments, and tube feeding management Participate in clinical research initiatives and case management activities to improve patient outcomes and support utilization review processes Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers or outpatient clinics offering telehealth services Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current state certification; eligible for licensure in multiple jurisdictions if applicable Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level II Trauma Centers; hospital medicine or emergency room experience preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy compliance Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms; experience with telehealth is a plus Demonstrated ability to perform complex procedures such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and airway management Background working with diverse populations including pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator care), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), assisted living residents or individuals with developmental disabilities Critical thinking skills for triage assessments and diagnostic evaluation; excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Additional qualifications include experience in gastroenterology procedures (spinal taps), pain management strategies (acute pain management), occupational health cases (Workers' compensation law), and familiarity with medical imaging or laboratory experience We are seeking energetic professionals eager to provide compassionate care while leveraging their extensive clinical expertise.
