This is a flexible contract opportunity requiring up to 2 hours per week -an excellent fit for a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner looking to add a meaningful clinical opportunity to their schedule. You'll provide essential medical care in a structured correctional healthcare environment while working alongside a dedicated healthcare team. What You'll Do Provide medical evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment Address acute and chronic healthcare needs Develop and manage treatment plans Collaborate with nursing staff regarding patient care Provide clinical guidance and support as needed Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Practice in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and facility policies What We're Looking For Current MD, PA, or NP license in Alabama Appropriate prescriptive authority, as applicable Current DEA registration, as applicable Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the healthcare team Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Commitment to professional, compassionate patient care Correctional healthcare experience is welcomed but not required Why Southern Health Partners?
