Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner - Huntsville, AL Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner seeking an impactful career in hospital medicine? Join our team at First Docs, LLC, a physician-owned practice committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered care throughout the healthcare continuum. We are expanding our innovative and progressive healthcare practice in AL and looking for a NP to join our growing post-acute primary care attending team.
Position Overview:
As a Nurse Practitioner at First Docs, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and customized healthcare to patients in a sub acute, skilled nursing setting. You'll have the opportunity to support physicians who manage new admissions, provide continued medical care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to drive quality improvement initiatives and high quality, cost effective care for the SNF. Our focus on personal and professional growth, along with exceptional clinical support and resources, will empower you to excel in your role.Qualifications:
Master's degree in Nursing and certification as a Nurse Practitioner Current, unrestricted state licensure and DEA Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Compassionate, motivated, and a collaborative team playerResponsibilities:
Provide comprehensive internal medicine primary care to skilled nursing and long term care patients of all ages Conduct physical examinations and assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses. Utilize electronic medical record systems to document patient encounters and manage patient information. Collaborate with medical director, physicians, nursing other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans and quality improvement initiatives. Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures. Provide education to patients and their families regarding health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care management. Participate in utilization management activities to ensure appropriate use of healthcare resources. Conduct utilization reviews to evaluate the necessity and effectiveness of medical treatments.Benefits:
