Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Weekend Family Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive urgent care services during weekends, ensuring our patients receive high-quality medical attention when they need it most. Your expertise will help improve health outcomes, promote wellness, and support patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine appropriate care plans. Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, simple I&D while adhering to sterile techniques and safety protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication administration, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications. Assist in triage duties and injections. Requirements Valid Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license with current certification to practice independently in your state. Proven experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems experience is highly valued. Strong clinical skills in acute care procedures. Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10 coding standards for documentation billing purposes, and familiarity with Workers' Compensation law is preferred. Experience in various healthcare settings including hospital medicine, urgent care, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments. Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or emergency rooms; ICU or critical care experience is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration; commitment to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards.
