Job Description

Job Type Full-time Description The Clinic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be involved in diagnosing the patient's problems and performing treatments to provide appropriate care to patient's age specific needs. They will conduct the initial patient medical history examination, in order to determine the cause of illness, including ordering tests, performing minor procedures, and prescribing medications & treatment plans to patients. Also responsible for appropriate workflow processes to ensure safe, quality care, including quality measures, chronic care management, and additional responsibilities to ensure continuity of care for patients. Responsible for ensuring various medical tools and equipment are in working order to provide the necessary safe care to the patients.
Requirements Education:
Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program Both require two to four years undergraduate coursework with a focus in science or healthcare related experience.
Requirements:
Must have unencumbered license to practice as an Advance Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant in the state of Alabama. Must be
CPR/BLS, ACLS, & PALS
certified. Must obtain a current DEA license. Computer skills are required. Must have excellent social skills, professional demeanor and leadership and communication skills. Ability to make decisions under pressure, manage multiple priorities, manage stress and detail oriented.
