Job Description
Occucare International is a global provider of occupational health services. We care for workers locally, nationally, and abroad with medical service solutions tailored to the needs of our clients. Occucare International is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who has knowledge and experience in Occupational Medicine. The successful candidate will work on a client's industrial construction project as a solo medical care provider. All care performed will be provided in collaboration with a team of full-time Medical Directors, located in our corporate offices. The successful candidate must have the ability to maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Occucare International Medical Directors, Management team, and the client's staff. It is imperative (and a key ingredient to success in this position) that the successful candidate embrace Occucare International's vision and exemplify the organization's core values. A Non-Restricted License to practice in the State of Arkansas and a Prescriptive Authority with a unrestricted DEA is required. No Narcotic or Schedule II drugs will be given nor required, with the exception of an ACLS event. The day-to-day activities of the job require the solo provider to:
- Provide care to injured employees, evaluate employees for common illnesses that can affect their function, provide on-site drug testing and impairment evaluation, reviewing return to work records, maintain records of medical supplies, and conduct physical examinations on individuals presenting to the medical trailer for assessment
- 90% of Time The selected provider must be comfortable with:
- Minor injury management including suturing and wound management
- 8% of Time .
- ACLS and cardiac evaluations, stabilizing traumatic joint injuries, and must have the experience to handle and coordinate transfer to higher level of care
- 1% of Time
- AED placement and comfortable starting IVs, if needed.
- Less than 1% of Time (EMS support is available, but ACLS is required) (Medical Director's and Corporate Team's support is available at all times to assist with EMS activation)
JOB DETAILS
- Monday thru Friday
- 40 hour work week with potential for OT
- Office / Clinic will be located in a modular building with the Client's Safety management team at the industrial job site
- Patient population includes adult/employees of client and/or subcontractors
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of accredited medical educational program
- Candidate must have a current license in the State of Arkansas
- Candidate must have BLS CPR (AHA/AHSI)
- Candidate must have a firm, but fair attitude toward conservative care plans, return to work practices, etc. and have a desire to grow with the company.
- Candidate must be willing to work independently and be a problem solver.
- Candidate must be eager to learn Occucare core policies and procedures and adapt to our Medical Director's clinical guidance.
JOB PREFERENCES
- Experience in Occupational Medicine, Sports Medicine, Emergency Medicine and/or Urgent Care
- ACLS
- DOT Medical Examiner certification
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish speaking)
JOB TYPE
- Full-time UP TO $80/HR based on Experience 1099
