Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Part-time position, no weekends Travel to various contracted surgical centers to perform bone marrow procedures with reimbursement for travel between surgical centers. Compliance with all guidelines, bylaws, and protocols of contracted facilities ClinPath is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing team. This role is primarily responsible for independently performing bone marrow aspirations and biopsies at contracted client facilities, currently Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). The NP will serve facilities with scheduled daily procedures and may assist with departmental scheduling support during periods of need. The ideal candidate has strong clinical experience, operating room (OR) experience, comfort working independently in procedural settings, and a solid understanding of bone marrow biopsy techniques. All employees are expected to support ClinPath's mission and goals, adhere to company policies and procedures, and maintain strict confidentiality of patient and company records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Independently perform bone marrow biopsies and aspirations. Prepare patients pre-procedure, including education on the procedure, potential risks and complications, and post-procedure care instructions. Review patient hematology/oncology history and physicals, laboratory results, and cardiac clearance when applicable. Accurately document all patient encounters and maintain complete medical records. Stay current on evolving techniques, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to bone marrow procedures. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to infection control policies and procedures. Respond promptly to calls and emails, demonstrating a sense of urgency (typically within one hour during business hours). Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgery center staff to foster strong working relationships and deliver high-quality patient care. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution Current state licensure and national certification as a Nurse Practitioner Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience; experience with bone marrow biopsies and aspirations strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of bone marrow anatomy, physiology, and pathology Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations. Current BLS and ACLS certification
