We're seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who is both clinically strong and deeply committed to helping individuals stabilize, grow, and reclaim their lives. In this role, you'll deliver thoughtful, compliant, and life-changing psychiatric care while maintaining alignment with Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) Article 1 & 10 standards.
Be a steady clinical presence:
bringing clarity to chaos, stability to crisis, and direction to recovery through expert assessment, safe medication management, and coordinated care. Job Overview Lead comprehensive psychiatric evaluations that uncover the full picture—not just symptoms Create individualized treatment plans that support real, sustainable progress Prescribe and manage medications with a focus on safety, education, and empowerment Build trust with patients through clear communication and compassionate care Maintain documentation that is not only compliant—but tells the patient's story accurately Protect patient dignity, rights, and safety in every interaction Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, whole-person care Support and guide clinical staff to maintain strong, consistent care delivery Step in during critical moments to assess, stabilize, and redirect patients when needed Skills Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Arizona Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Active DEA license 2+ years in psychiatric or behavioral health settings preferred Strong understanding of outpatient behavioral health compliance and standards Confidence with EHR systems and clinical documentation A calm, grounded presence—especially in high-acuity situations What Success Looks Like Patients feel heard, respected, and supported from first visit forward Care is consistent, compliant, and clinically sound Medication management is safe, effective, and thoughtfully monitored Documentation is always complete, accurate, and audit-ready The clinical team feels supported, aligned, and collaborative You leave each day knowing your work made a real difference Why This Role Matters This is more than a prescribing role.
