Job Summary :
Kern Gastroenterology Medical Group is seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our growing gastroenterology practice. The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with our physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality patient care in both outpatient clinic and procedural settings. In this role, you will serve as a vital member of the medical team, providing comprehensive assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing personalized treatment plans. Your expertise will support patient recovery, promote wellness, and enhance overall health outcomes. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine health status. Manage patient documentation accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide health coaching and education to patients of all ages and support families through complex care needs. Conduct patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and assessments Review labs, imaging, pathology, and diagnostic reports Develop and implement treatment plans under physician collaboration Provide patient education regarding GI conditions and procedures Assist with pre-procedure and post-procedure patient management Coordinate care with hospitals, surgery centers, and referring providers Collaborate with physicians Qualifications Current California Nurse Practitioner license Board Certified Nurse Practitioner DEA license preferred Gastroenterology experience preferred but not required Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Benefits Competitive salary Medical benefits Paid holidays Paid sick time and PTO 401(k) retirement plan Supportive team environment Opportunities for professional growth Schedule Monday - Friday No weekends requiredPay:
