In this vital role, you will serve as a highly skilled advanced practice provider, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment plans, and ongoing management of patient health. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform accurate diagnoses. Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in compliance with state and federal regulations, including DEA guidelines for controlled substances. Manage acute and chronic conditions in pain medicine. Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertions, etc. with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation, order entry, and patient data management while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, specialists providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes. Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification from an accredited program; state-specific licensure required. Demonstrated experience working in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine units (ICU/Level I & II trauma centers), emergency rooms (ER), outpatient clinics, nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including ModMed. Strong knowledge of physiology, pharmacology (including CPT coding), medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Hands-on experience performing procedures like venipuncture (phlebotomy), injections (including botulinum toxin treatments), sterile processing techniques and specimen collection/processing. Critical care experience such as ICU or acute pain management; familiarity with ventilator management and airway procedures is advantageous.
