The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient assessment and acute pain management, with experience in wound care management. This role is essential for providing high-quality care to patients with complex wound needs, ensuring optimal healing and recovery for our patients. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate wound conditions and overall health status. Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with various types of wounds. Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other advanced wound care procedures. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and nursing staff, to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families on wound care management, prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to promote healing. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay current with advancements in wound care practices and technologies. Experience Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly in areas such as PICU or ER, is preferred. Familiarity with acute pain management techniques and gastroenterology-related conditions is advantageous. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in advanced wound care are a plus. Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center is beneficial for understanding complex cases. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documentation and patient management. Wound care certification (CWS, CWCN, CWOCN preferred, as those are accredited programs; WCC at minimum, as it currently not an accredited program), or eligibility to obtain certification from an accredited program. Experience in grafting and debridement preferred. Knowledge of dermal fillers may be considered an asset but is not mandatory. Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
