NO CALL/NO WEEKENDS/NO HOSPITAL ROUNDS
Prima Heart is a private practice, specializing in preventive care and comprehensive lipid management, along with performance of numerous cardiovascular diagnostic tests. Description Part-Time or Full-Time position for a Nurse Practitioner to work in our Monterey office. Hours are negotiable, but generally Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30pm. No weekends or evening hours. We are looking for someone who is interested in preventive health, with some knowledge of lipid disease. Looking for someone well trained, energetic, friendly and a hard-working team player, with excellent interpersonal verbal/ written and communication skills. Specialized knowledge, critical thinking, and good judgment are essential.
Responsibilities and duties include:
Providing consultations in coordination with a supervising physician, focused preventive health, Lipid management, order and follow up on cardiac and lipid medications. Performs follow up on patient consultations, patient examinations, providing an assessment, and initiating treatment. Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results. Must be computer literate in all Microsoft Office programs. Must be able to work well independently and be detailed-oriented. Excellent people and customer service skills Strong organizational skills. You will be responsible to record progress notes in the patients' electronic chart in a timely concise manner, communicate with medical staff regarding patient treatment, and any additional medical services. Requirements Graduate from an accredited NP program approved by Board of California Current and unrestricted as a Nurse Practitioner in California Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records, ( AthenaHealth).
