About Us We are a busy, patient-centered cardiology practice committed to providing exceptional cardiovascular care in a compassionate and professional environment. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team and work alongside our board-certified cardiologists. Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide comprehensive outpatient cardiovascular care by evaluating patients, managing acute and chronic cardiac conditions, developing treatment plans, and collaborating closely with the cardiologists and clinical staff. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and experienced in cardiology or internal medicine. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations. Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hyperlipidemia, and valvular heart disease. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the cardiologist. Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests, including ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, Holter monitors, event monitors, and laboratory studies. Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans according to evidence-based guidelines and state regulations. Provide follow-up care for chronic cardiac conditions and post-hospitalization patients. Perform pre-operative cardiac evaluations and risk assessments. Educate patients and families on medications, disease management, diet, exercise, smoking cessation, and lifestyle modifications. Accurately document all patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR). Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient care. Respond to patient messages, review test results, and coordinate referrals and follow-up care. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare, and practice policies. QualificationsRequired Current Nurse Practitioner license. National certification as an FNP, AGPCNP, or
AGACNP. DEA
registration (or eligibility to obtain). Current BLS certification. Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR). Preferred At least 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience. Cardiology or Internal Medicine experience preferred. ACLS certification. Experience interpreting ECGs and managing cardiovascular patients. Skills Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced outpatient environment. $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
