Newport Urgent Care is an outcome-focused urgent care and occupational medicine clinic that believes patient care should be convenient, affordable, personalized and comprehensive for all. Our clinic offers a wide range of healthcare services with a unique opportunity to serve both the community and local employers with excellence and compassion. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough medical evaluations and exams, diagnose and develop evidence-based treatment plans for a variety of illnesses and injuries Order and interpret diagnostic tests (x-rays, EKGs, labs, etc.) Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, I&Ds, and wound care Provide comprehensive occupational health services, including diagnosing and treating work-related injuries and illnesses, drug and alcohol screenings, and physical examinations for employment Communicate effectively and collaborate with a supportive healthcare team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient care Maintain prompt, accurate charting in the EMR system and complete necessary paperwork related to workers' compensation claims and occupational health services Other job duties as assigned Qualifications California Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License Board Certification DEA Registration BLS (required), ALCS and PALS (preferred) DOT Certification preferred (required within 60 days) Master's Degree Prior experience in urgent care or occupational medicine strongly preferred Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A positive and professional demeanor Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment Ability to commit to at least 3 PRN shifts per month
Pay Range:
$70 - $85 per hour, commensurate with applicable experience
