Job Description
Duties:
- Supervise and provide guidance to supervisee students, supporting their professional development, daily responsibilities, and successful completion of assigned duties.
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders
- Prescribe and manage appropriate medications for patients
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients in treatment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Proficient in venipuncture and phlebotomy techniques
- Strong case management skills
- Knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations
- Experience with medical documentation and utilization management
- Familiarity with utilization review processes
- Expertise in behavioral health assessment and treatment
- Solid understanding of anatomy and physiology
