Job Description

Morning View Family Therapy is a private group practice that provides help for individuals, couples, and families during their mental health journey throughout the state of California. Morning View Family Therapy provides therapeutic treatment services for depression, anxiety, stress, grief, ptsd, etc. for all age groups. Morning View Family Therapy is looking for a mental health nurse practitioner to begin immediately. We offer competitive salaries and opportunities for professional growth.
Duties:
  • Supervise and provide guidance to supervisee students, supporting their professional development, daily responsibilities, and successful completion of assigned duties.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders
  • Prescribe and manage appropriate medications for patients
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients in treatment
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Proficient in venipuncture and phlebotomy techniques
  • Strong case management skills
  • Knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations
  • Experience with medical documentation and utilization management
  • Familiarity with utilization review processes
  • Expertise in behavioral health assessment and treatment
  • Solid understanding of anatomy and physiology
