Job Type:
Locum Tenens / Contract (3-6 months, potential to extend)
Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 8:00 AM•5:00 PM (Variable start/end times) Job Description We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Family or Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our clinic team. This position involves providing comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, managing daily patient volumes of 18-22 patients, and collaborating with a dedicated medical assistant in a 1:1 support model. Travel and housing assistance or lodging reimbursement are available for well-qualified non-local candidates.
Responsibilities Patient Care:
Examine patients, take detailed medical histories, and perform Annual Wellness Exams and post-hospital discharge visits.
Clinical Planning:
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans.
Care Coordination:
Manage Epic EMR In-Basket messages and follow up on patient care inquiries efficiently.
Coverage:
Provide primary care at one main clinic location, with the possibility of floating to nearby clinics if needed. [1]
Required Qualifications Education:
Satisfactory completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program.
Licensure:
Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of California.
Certifications:
Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC).
Credentials:
Current BLS/CPR and DEA certifications.
Preferred Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in a primary care or outpatient clinic setting.
Job Details & Logistics Estimated Duration:
3 to 6 months (Intent to engage longer than 60 days).
EMR System:
Epic Systems (1-2 weeks of orientation and training provided).
Dress Code:
Navy blue scrubs or professional business attire.
Interview Process:
Virtual on-camera or phone interview.
Credentialing:
Background screening and drug testing required prior to start.
