Full-Time Schedule:
Monday-Friday, business hours (no nights, weekends, or call) Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Occupational Medicine clinic. The provider will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to employees and employers, focusing on work-related injuries, regulatory physicals, and preventive occupational health services. This role offers a predictable schedule, collaborative environment, and the opportunity to support workforce health and safety. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses Perform occupational health physicals (pre-employment, DOT, return-to-work, fit-for-duty, surveillance exams) Conduct Department of Transportation (DOT) exams (certification preferred or willingness to obtain) Develop and implement treatment plans and coordinate follow-up care Provide suturing, splinting, wound care, and other minor procedures Interpret basic diagnostic studies (X-rays, EKGs, spirometry, audiograms, lab results) Communicate effectively with employers regarding work status and restrictions Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory guidelines Collaborate with supervising/collaborating physician and clinic team
Qualifications Required:
Current, unrestricted NP or PA license in [State] Board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) DEA license (or eligibility) BLS certification Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience (urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or occupational medicine preferred)
Preferred:
Experience in Occupational Medicine DOT Medical Examiner certification Experience with workers' compensation cases Proficiency with EMR systems Skills & Competencies Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills Knowledge of occupational health regulations and workers' compensation processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong documentation and organizational skills Commitment to workplace safety and preventive health
Pay:
$145,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
