Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality medical services, perform assessments, and implement treatment plans that make a real difference in patients' lives. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine diagnoses and treatment needs. Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health. Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections with precision and adherence to sterile techniques. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records. Coordinate diagnostic evaluations such as sonography, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and medical imaging to support clinical decision-making. Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication administration, lifestyle modifications, and health coaching strategies. Collaborate with specialists in areas like gastroenterology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and occupational health for comprehensive patient management. Participate in telehealth consultations to extend care access and improve patient engagement remotely. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification in your state. Proven experience working in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms, ICUs (Intensive Care Units), Level I or Level II trauma centers, or hospital medicine units. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-9/10 systems for accurate documentation and billing. Hands-on experience with procedures including suturing, venipuncture (blood draws), catheter care, tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient patient documentation. Competency in performing triage assessments and managing acute pain or airway emergencies using basic life support (BLS) protocols. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics (children and infants), geriatrics (senior care), individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs. Knowledge of infection control practices and infection prevention strategies within clinical settings. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across outpatient clinics, inpatient units, home care services or assisted living facilities.
