Job Description

What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive histories and physical examinations within 24 hours of client admission. Assess and monitor the physical and emotional health of clients, including individuals with substance use disorders. Diagnose medical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans within scope of practice. Prescribe medications in accordance with established protocols and individualized client needs. Order, review, and respond to diagnostic labs and testing results in a timely and clinically appropriate manner. Provide acute care and on‑call medical management as required. Perform medication re‑evaluations and ongoing medical follow‑up. Coordinate care with the Medical Director, mental health providers, nursing staff, and other members of the care team. Provide primary care services for common medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, asthma, gastrointestinal conditions, and infectious diseases. Provide education and prescribe medication‑assisted treatment (MAT) when clinically indicated. Support detoxification care by ensuring orders align with lab results and treatment plans. Deliver medication education, discharge teaching, and health education focused on wellness, nutrition, sleep hygiene, stress reduction, and relapse prevention. Present recovery education sessions and participate in case reviews for complex medical or psychiatric cases. Provide guidance, education, and clinical support to Registered Nurses and health center staff. Serve as a liaison with community medical providers and partner organizations. Participate in committees, staff education, and quality improvement initiatives as assigned. Provide input into departmental planning and budgeting when requested. Maintain compliance with all confidentiality laws and regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, and 42 CFR Part 2, as well as organizational policies. What You Bring Master's degree in Nursing or related nursing science field. Current Nurse Practitioner certification through AANP or ANCC. Active Colorado Registered Nurse license. Prescriptive authority granted by the Colorado Board of Nursing. Current DEA registration and Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) registration. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Experience treating substance use disorders preferred; Suboxone prescribing experience strongly preferred. Valid Colorado driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record, if driving for business purposes. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to practice safely and effectively within the scope of licensure. Strong clinical judgment and decision‑making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary medical and behavioral health team. Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and emotional maturity when working with clients and families. Commitment to AllHealth Network's mission, values, and client‑centered approach to care. Physical Requirements Physical ability to access all areas of the facility, including stairs. Ability to assist with ambulation and perform CPR. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
