Job Description
Rocky Mountain Gastroenterology is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team. If you thrive in an advanced provider role, possess compassionate patient care skills while being able to provide world-class patient care

PURPOSE:
Motivated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider responsible for fulfilling the highest expectations of patient care to a medically diverse, primarily outpatient GI population. Passionate interest in elevating the field of GI to ensure our most vulnerable populations receive high-quality, evidence-based care.RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE
Manages the health care of a select group of patients as directed by RMG physicians. Participates as a team in providing healthcare, interacting with professional colleagues to provide comprehensive care as a responsible professional. Performs a comprehensive health assessment, including health history, physical exams, preventive screening; identifies medical health risks and needs. Formulates the appropriate differential diagnoses based on clinical evaluation. Performs, orders and/or interprets diagnostic studies within scope of practice. Performs advanced technical procedures within scope of practice. Plans and implements therapeutic regimens that include both nursing and medical management strategies, including prescription of medication/devices. Includes obtaining and maintaining prescriptive authority. Establishes systematic follow-up for the evaluation of the plan of care and reassesses and modifies the plan as necessary. Assures patient and family teaching is adequate to manage the illness or wellness plan at home. Maintains accurate, legible, and confidential records and ensures appropriate billing process is followed for all patients. Maintains competency and enhances professional growth and development through continuing education, conferences, and seminars. Shares knowledge obtained through these functions with team, and participates in self-directed continued learning, including quality improvement and protocol development. Supports and upholds RMG policies, procedures, objectives, mission, quality improvement, safety, environment and infection control and codes/requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies. Maintains positive behaviors, approaches, and commitment to interpersonal service toward patients, visitors and/or co-workers. Other duties as assigned.DESIRABLE
(and some required)QUALITIES IN A CANDIDATE
NP or PA licensed to practice in the State of Colorado, required.BLS/CPR, ACLS, IV
Certification, required. Able to be fully credentialed at all necessary facilities, required. 1 year GI experience, preferred. Knowledge of AllScripts and Clinical, helpful. Working knowledge of federal and state regulations that impact clinic operations, including HIPAA. Effectively interact with people and develop positive relationships across all levels.WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER
