Job Description

MedStaff Nationwide is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens urgent care assignment in Bristol, Connecticut. This opportunity is with an established urgent care center providing medical, pediatric, orthopedic, and minor procedural care. Providers will have access to on-site laboratory services, digital X-ray, electronic medical records, experienced support staff, and physician backup. Schedule The urgent care center operates 365 days per year:
Monday-Friday:
8:00 AM-8:00
PM Saturday:
9:00 AM-5:00
PM Sunday and Holidays:
9:00 AM-2:00 PM Coverage is needed for multiple shifts throughout September and most of October. Providers who can cover only a portion of the available dates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries Provide urgent care services to adult and pediatric patients Perform physical examinations and clinical assessments Diagnose and manage common urgent care conditions Treat minor orthopedic injuries Perform minor procedures as appropriate Order and interpret laboratory testing and X-rays Prescribe medications and treatment plans Coordinate care with physicians and clinical support staff Refer or escalate patients when a higher level of care is required Complete timely and accurate EMR documentation Qualifications Licensed Nurse Practitioner/APRN or Physician Assistant Connecticut license or ability to obtain Connecticut licensure National board certification DEA registration as applicable BLS certification Urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or similar experience preferred Comfortable treating both adult and pediatric patients Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Assignment Highlights Locum tenens opportunity Flexible shift availability Established urgent care setting Physician backup available Digital radiology and laboratory services on site Electronic medical records Adult and pediatric patient population Interested candidates should apply with an updated CV and current availability.

$85.00 - $140.00 per hour
