Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings, including primary care, urgent care, specialty clinics, and hospital environments. The ideal candidate will be energized by providing comprehensive assessments, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. This position is fully compensated and plays a vital role in advancing patient health through expert clinical practice and innovative care delivery. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations, vital sign assessments, and detailed patient histories to inform diagnostic evaluation and treatment strategies. Manage acute and chronic conditions utilizing advanced clinical skills, including medication administration, IV infusion, suturing, and catheterization Coordinate patient care through triage, discharge planning, case management, and utilization review to ensure optimal health outcomes. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of medical records, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT), and medical documentation compliance. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high standards of confidentiality. Assist in medical office operations including specimen collection/processing, sterile technique procedures, and infection control practices. Requirements Valid certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current state licensure. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and order entry. Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, suturing, airway management, and basic life support certification. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics (memory care/dementia), and individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Knowledge of CPT coding for procedures and ICD coding for diagnoses; familiarity with Workers' Compensation law is a plus. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing and medical imaging; experience with sonography is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for patient assessment, health coaching, teaching hospital protocols, discharge planning, and case management.
