Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dynamic healthcare team within a primary care office setting. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, medication management, and therapeutic interventions to diverse patient populations, including adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help improve mental health outcomes through collaborative care, innovative treatment plans, and compassionate patient engagement. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working within a supportive and professional environment. Duties Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status exams and behavioral health assessments for patients across various age groups. Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans. Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy interventions tailored to individual patient needs, utilizing telehealth platforms when appropriate. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, therapists, case managers, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Athenahealth, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies. Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing mental health services and patient outcomes. Qualifications Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with valid licensure in the state of practice. Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for documentation and patient management. Knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication administration protocols, and drug enforcement regulations (DEA). Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to perform physical examinations when necessary. Experience in behavioral health settings including outpatient clinics, hospitals, or telehealth environments is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and engage patients compassionately.
