Xpress Urgent Care is a full-service walk-in clinic with highly trained and professional staff. Our clinic was founded in 2012; however, we have been providing Primary care Services since 2007 with a huge patient satisfaction rate. We offer numerous medical and urgent care services to suit your family's needs. With multiple examination rooms equipped with modern examination beds and equipment, our highly experienced providers and medical professionals are available to provide high-quality care for a variety of conditions, illnesses, and injuries. An Xpress Nurse Practitioner is a quality oriented, emergency driven, and clinical care provider to care for our patients seeking urgent care services. This candidate exercises considerable independent judgment, recognizing and responding promptly to emergencies. Xpress has an immediate opening for a full-time nurse practitioner. Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities Responsible for working together with clinic staff to ensure quality oriented, emergency driven, and clinical care provider to care for our patients seeking urgent care services. Provides appropriate, efficient, and effective clinical medical care required for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of human disease and injury. Reviews the Electronic Medical Records system (e-CW) patient's records to get patients medical history. Document accurately patient's visit including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action. Assess, diagnose, and treat patients for a wide range of conditions, from sinus and respiratory infections to wounds and broken bones. Orders or administers tests, x-rays, electrocardiogram, and other diagnostic procedures, accordingly to the nature of the patient's illness or urgent needs. Determines and prescribes medication, dosage, and schedule given the patient's condition and allergies. Respond timely to requests and inquiries from patients in person and over the telephone, as needed. Conducts physical examinations to provide information needed for admission to school, consideration for jobs, or eligibility for insurance coverage, among other physicals. Will actively participate in the enhancement of patient satisfaction advising them on how to improve their health condition and encouraging them for a follow up visit. Maintains strictest confidentiality and impartiality and is responsible for maintaining and respecting the confidentiality of patients always adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations. Exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex, and confidential patient issues and situations. Additional Duties Communicate and work regularly with the Office Manager and office staff Perform job responsibilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy Move, carry, and lift objects weighing less than 20lbs without assistance Abide by all compliance regulations including but not limited to HIPAA and OSHA Minimum Qualifications Previous experience in ER, Urgent Care is required Fluency in English, verbal and written required Active and unrestricted ARNP licensure in the state of Florida required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Current DEA license to schedule controlled substances required Willing to obtain NRCME certification prior to coming onboard or within 60 days of hire Hide
