Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide patient-centered care as part of the Mayfaire Medical team in both Miami-Dade and Broward County with a schedule that flexes between our two locations. The NP will provide direct care to patients, focusing on primary care, HIV prevention and treatment, and sexual health. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with diverse communities and delivering care in a welcoming and affirming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive primary care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic health conditions. Prescribe medications, including for chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and HIV management. Provide HIV prevention and treatment services, including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). Perform STI testing, treatment, and counseling, and educate patients on sexual health and preventive measures. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Coordinate daily clinical flow with the MA and Phlebotomist to ensure timely and thorough patient visits throughout the workday. Collaborate with the Front Office staff for schedule efficiency and daily operations. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Educate patients and families on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and management of chronic conditions. Participate in community health initiatives and outreach efforts to increase access to care for underserved populations. Ensure compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.

Qualifications:

Required:

Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Florida. Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP). Experience in primary care and HIV care preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Sensitivity and experience working with diverse patient populations.

Preferred:

2+ years of experience in primary care, sexual health, or HIV care. Experience with PrEP and PEP. Fluent in a second language (Spanish preferred). Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
