Description This contract-based, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a hospitalist setting, working alongside experienced physicians and healthcare professionals. As a Locum NP/PA Hospitalist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role is ideal for an Associate-level practitioner seeking flexibility and professional growth within a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations upon admission and throughout hospitalization Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results Collaborate with attending physicians, specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care Document patient medical histories, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely Prescribe medications and administer treatments in accordance with state regulations and hospital protocols Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care plans Respond promptly to patient emergencies and provide appropriate clinical interventions Participate in daily rounds and contribute to multidisciplinary care conferences Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements Requirements Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license Board certification as an NP or PA in a relevant specialty Associate-level experience in hospital medicine, inpatient care, or acute care settings Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program Current BLS and ACLS certification Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and critical-thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective patient and team interaction Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by contract terms DEA registration and state prescribing privileges (where applicable) Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based patient care

6a-3p, 3- to 5- day blocks No call requirement 45 beds

Rounding on ~10-12 patients per day, ~10 admissions, and ~2 consults
