BBH is expanding our services on the Emerald Coast. At this time, we have 5 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and 5 therapists. We are looking to add an organized, proficient, caring additional Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. The position requires the provider to be empathetic and demonstrate the ability to properly diagnose and treat a variety of mental health disorders. In addition to brief therapy, the provider will prescribe psychotropic medications within their scope of practice to patients across the lifespan. The Psych NP must be able to and willing to see children. This is a professional position in which the incumbent provides patient care within the community at a private clinic. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide patient assessment and diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, interpret test results, provide patient education, and make appropriate referrals in accordance with statutes, regulations and protocols regulating the profession. The incumbent will have a license to practice in the state of Florida. The nurse practitioner MUST be board certified as a psychiatric/mental-health nurse practitioner. The PMHNP will prescribe within scope of practice and follow clinical guidelines regarding treatment protocols and medication management. Office locations in FWB and Niceville.
