Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant-Acute Inpatient Rehab Facility St. George's Healing Hands Tallahassee, FL Job Details Full-time From $95,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Malpractice insurance Qualifications DEA License Advanced practice provider Full Job Description We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a physician-led medical team at an acute inpatient rehabilitation facility. This is a full-time W-2 position working five days per week, generally 8:00 AM-5:30 PM. This position is ideal for an APP who enjoys inpatient medicine, managing medically complex patients, and working with a high degree of clinical autonomy. Prior inpatient, hospitalist, internal medicine, or acute rehabilitation experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities
  • Perform daily medical evaluations and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Review laboratory results, imaging, medications, and consultant recommendations
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nursing, therapy teams, case management, and specialists
  • Recognize and appropriately escalate acute changes in clinical status
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Assist with admissions and discharges as needed Qualifications
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Current DEA registration or eligibility
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice with a high degree of independence
  • Inpatient experience strongly preferred
  • Internal medicine, hospital medicine, geriatrics, or rehabilitation experience is a plus Schedule, Compensation & Benefits
  • Full-time W-2 position with opportunity for significant production bonus
  • Five days per week
  • Generally 8:00 AM-5:30 PM
