FNP / PA

•Full Time South Tampa Immediate Care | Tampa, FL $60

•65/hour | Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend South Tampa Immediate Care is seeking an experienced, highly independent Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) who is confident managing an urgent care clinic as the sole provider on site . This is not an entry-level or new-graduate position. Our clinic operates with one provider on duty at a time , supported by an experienced clinical and administrative team. We need a provider who can walk into an urgent care setting, assess undifferentiated patients, perform procedures, interpret diagnostic testing, recognize emergencies, and make sound clinical decisions without requiring another provider physically present for routine guidance. The Right Provider for This Position You should already be comfortable independently evaluating and treating a broad range of urgent care presentations, including respiratory illness, abdominal complaints, musculoskeletal injuries, lacerations, infections, urinary complaints, rashes, minor trauma, and sexually transmitted infections. Hands-on urgent care competency is essential.

Candidates must be comfortable with:

Laceration repair and suturing Incision and drainage and other common urgent care procedures STI/STD evaluation, testing, diagnosis, and treatment Ordering and interpreting laboratory studies Reading and interpreting EKGs Preliminary interpretation of plain-film X-rays while awaiting final radiology review Evaluating orthopedic and minor traumatic injuries Medication selection and prescribing Recognizing potentially unstable or higher-acuity patients Determining when a patient requires emergency department evaluation or transfer Managing patients across the lifespan Working efficiently while maintaining thorough, accurate documentation Independence Is Critical This position is best suited for a provider who has already developed strong clinical judgment and does not require another provider physically present to manage routine patient care . You will have physician support and an experienced clinical team, but you will generally be the only treating provider in the clinic during your shift . We are specifically looking for someone who can hit the ground running rather than someone who still needs extensive clinical training in urgent care procedures, diagnostic interpretation, or independent patient management.

Qualifications Required:

Current Florida APRN license with Family Nurse Practitioner certification OR current Florida Physician Assistant license Minimum 1 year of independent practice experience as an FNP or PA Meaningful experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or a similar high-volume clinical environment Demonstrated competency with suturing and common urgent care procedures Strong knowledge of STI/STD evaluation and treatment Ability to independently interpret EKGs Ability to perform preliminary X-ray interpretation Strong clinical judgment and ability to recognize patients requiring a higher level of care Current BLS/ACLS or ability to obtain as required DEA registration or eligibility to obtain

Strongly Preferred:

Prior urgent care or emergency medicine experience Experience working as a sole or highly autonomous provider Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients Experience with Experity EMR Schedule This is a permanent, full-time position with a consistent rotating schedule.

Our clinic hours are:
Monday-Friday:

8:00 AM-8:00

PM Saturday-Sunday:

9:00 AM-4:00 PM The position includes 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other-weekend rotation . Compensation & Benefits $60
