This is a private, spa-like psychiatric practice that does accept insurance. Applicant must have at least 1 year of experience to join our team and willing to work in office. The individual ultimately hired for this position will be responsible for evaluating patients and medication management. This location opened Jan 2023 as our satellite office with our main office located in Vero Beach. With that said we don't have the patient load to offer a full case load but would love to chat about coming onboard for a few days a week. We are looking for a clinician with strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills. Ideally this will become a full-time position starting fee split model offered with a potential for a full-time employee status
Responsibilities :
Diagnose and treat mental health disorders Prescribe and manage all necessary medications Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations Complete SOAP notes daily Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals when needed Communicate with collaborating therapist/specialist regarding patient care
Qualifications :
Previous experience in psychiatric practice Ability to build rapport with patients Ability to thrive in a fast-paced office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills (EHR, Telehealth) Personal traits : Applicant must have a friendly personality, pleasant attitude, and present excellent communication skills (including adequate tone of voice, professional body language, respectful demeanor, welcoming greeting and engaging skills). Applicant must be polished and have a professional appearance and demeanor. A high level of patience and compassion is towards the patients we serve. This includes the ability to problem-solve and help verbally de-escalate those in need. Empathy, caring, and resiliency are key factors to be successful in this role.
Superb Emotional Intelligence:
The ability to perceive/manage/express one's emotions, and to recognize and react appropriately to the emotions of others (patients, peers, upper management). Being self-aware, self-confident, and open-minded. Able to ask for help or staff cases as necessary. Willingness to go above and beyond his or her job description to make patients happy. Reliable and willing to work at our Vero Beach office. The ideal candidate is responsible for own duties and is also a team player by being thoughtful and considerate of all colleagues, staff, and Management. The owner of the practice is a board certified psychiatrist and forensic psychiatrist with extensive experience in psychopharmacology, TMS, esketamine treatment, and other modalities. You will always have the psychiatrist and other practitioners available to staff cases, and to collaborate on care.
Pay:
From $75.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 32.0 per week
