West Palm Beach, FL Job Details Full-time | Contract 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Flexible schedule Qualifications Spanish BLS Certification APRN English Nurse Practitioner (NP) Advanced practice provider MSN Full Job Description Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN) — Boca Raton, FL About the role We're hiring a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to provide primary and acute pediatric care at our South Florida practice. You'll manage well-child visits, diagnose and treat acute illness, and build the kind of long-term relationships with families that make good pediatric care possible. Pediatric practice asks for a particular skill set: earning a child's cooperation during an exam, reading symptoms in patients who can't describe them, and communicating clearly with anxious parents. What you'll do Perform well-child exams for newborns through adolescents, documenting growth, development, and health status Evaluate and treat acute illness and injury, using history-taking and physical exam to reach a diagnosis Order and interpret diagnostic labs and imaging Prescribe medications and provide clear administration instructions to caregivers Administer immunizations per CDC/ACIP and Florida Department of Health schedules Refer to specialists (surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, etc.) when care falls outside primary care scope Counsel families on nutrition, physical activity, development, safety, and preventive care Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR Maintain clinical currency through continuing education Required qualifications Active Florida APRN license in good standing National board certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP-PC) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with pediatric experience MSN or DNP from an accredited program Active DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain Current BLS certification; PALS preferred Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written Preferred qualifications Two or more years in pediatric primary care Experience with EMR and e-prescribing platforms Familiarity with Florida vaccine programs (VFC) What we're looking for Strong diagnostic reasoning and comfort with clinical uncertainty. Patience and warmth with children across developmental stages. The ability to explain a plan of care to a worried parent in plain language, in either English or Spanish.Details Employment type:
