Job Description Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/APRN)Schaumburg, Illinois About the Organization Resilience Behavioral Health is a client-centered behavioral health treatment organization located in Willowbrook, Illinois, serving individuals across the greater Chicago area and beyond. Their programs span Crisis Stabilization, Residential Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Evening IOP, and standard Outpatient levels of care, with a strong foundation in dual-diagnosis treatment that addresses mental health and substance use conditions together. Their therapeutic approach draws on a wide range of evidence-based and holistic modalities including CBT, DBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, yoga therapy, art therapy, music therapy, experiential therapy, and medication management. Resilience is deeply committed to serving diverse populations, including veterans, members of the LGBTQ+ community, healthcare workers, first responders, college students, and executives and professionals. The Opportunity Greater Illinois Behavioral Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/APRN) to join their Illinois treatment team, supporting clients at their Schaumburg location. This is a contract (1099) opportunity for a clinician with strong communication skills who is comfortable working within a structured, onsite treatment setting. What You'll Do Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management to clients Collaborate with the clinical and interdisciplinary team to support integrated treatment Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the treatment team throughout the course of care Requirements Requirements Active, unrestricted Illinois RN and APRN license (required). Illinois is not part of the Nurse Licensure Compact, so an Illinois-issued APRN credential is required regardless of licensure held in other states Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through ANCC Master's degree from an accredited PMHNP program 1-2 years of relevant clinical experience Strong written and verbal communication skills
