Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to join our behavioral health team. The NP/PA will work collaboratively with psychiatrists, mid-levels, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive behavioral health care to patients. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with mental health disorders, with a focus on improving patients' overall well-being and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including medical history, psychiatric history, and psychosocial assessments. Diagnose and manage mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and others. Treatment Planning and Management Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Prescribe medications and adjust treatment regimens as necessary, under state regulations. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes. Collaboration and Coordination Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other specialists to ensure continuity of care. Coordinate care with external providers, social services, and community resources as needed. Documentation and Compliance Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements. Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other patient confidentiality standards. Qualifications Current Georgia licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Current national certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C). At least two years of clinical experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or a related field. Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, prescribing practices, and medication management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health care.
