Job Description
About the Opportunity Sandersville Urgent Care & Wellness Center is a growing, independently owned practice providing accessible healthcare to our community while expanding into wellness and preventive services. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team on a part-time, 1099 basis. This is an opportunity for a provider who enjoys variety and wants to practice in an environment that combines acute care with a more proactive approach to health and wellness . Our practice continues to grow, and there may be an opportunity for increased hours and an expanded role as patient demand increases. What You'll Do The provider will independently evaluate and manage patients within their scope of practice, including: Evaluate and treat common acute illnesses and injuries Perform focused physical examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing and laboratory studies Prescribe medications when clinically appropriate Perform common outpatient procedures within training and competency Provide patient education, preventive care, and lifestyle counseling Participate in wellness-focused services based on experience, training, and interest Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation Collaborate with the clinical team to provide efficient, patient-centered care Recognize patients requiring a higher level of care and coordinate appropriate referral or transfer Our practice includes services spanning urgent/sick care, primary care, weight management, hormone and wellness care, IV hydration, and other preventive health services . Training may be available in areas of the practice that are new to the selected provider. Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Compassionate and comfortable building relationships with patients Clinically confident while knowing when to collaborate or refer Able to work independently in an outpatient setting Dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented Interested in both traditional medical care and proactive wellness Comfortable working in a growing practice where services and opportunities continue to evolve Committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-informed care rather than simply moving patients through a schedule Both experienced providers and motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply. Appropriate onboarding and support will be based on the provider's experience level. Qualifications Current or eligible Georgia licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Current board certification or eligibility as applicable DEA registration or eligibility to obtain, if required for role responsibilities Current BLS certification Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Urgent care, family medicine, primary care, emergency medicine, or wellness experience is helpful but not required.
