Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Nephrology team. We are looking for someone that is experienced in working in Nephrology, and willing to practice alongside the physician in the clinic and dialysis Units. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through comprehensive assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and personalized treatment plans. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about advancing healthcare excellence in a fast-paced environment. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical histories to determine health status and needs. Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with state laws and collaborative practice agreements while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records management. Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans. Willing to see patients in the office setting with CKD and other renal disorders and also doing dialysis rounds. Skills Experience in the the field of Nephrology. Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and dialysis documentation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-9/10 classifications for accurate diagnosis coding.
