Part-time Job Summary:
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) provides comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare services to patients across the lifespan. The FNP will assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions, perform health screenings, prescribe medications, and educate patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention. The role emphasizes collaborative, evidence-based, and patient-centered care in alignment with the organization's mission and values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams and health histories. Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.). Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Prescribe medications and other treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations. Provide education and counseling on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modification. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records in the EMR system. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical policies and protocols. Maintain current knowledge of medical, legal, and ethical standards relevant to practice.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification (AANP or ANCC). Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in [State]. Valid DEA license (or eligibility to obtain). Current
BLS/ACLS
certification. Minimum of [5 years] clinical experience preferred (new graduates considered). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Working Conditions:
Outpatient clinic settings. May require evening or weekend hours depending on patient needs. Involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
