Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our outpatient behavioral health team. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care in a collaborative clinical environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations while helping to improve access to mental health services in our community. Position is 7on/7off. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status exams and diagnostic assessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices. Provide medication management, monitoring therapeutic responses, side effects, and adherence. Offer supportive psychotherapy and patient education as appropriate to scope of practice. Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, and support staff to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation within the EMR. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives. Provide crisis assessment and intervention when needed. Adhere to organizational protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications Active and unrestricted PMHNP certification (ANCC) required. Current state APRN license (or eligibility). Minimum of 1-2 years of psychiatric experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered. DEA registration (or ability to obtain). Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care. Schedule & Work Environment Outpatient clinic setting with scheduled appointments. Full-time or part-time opportunities available.
