Job Description

A well establised Primary Care practice in Barrington is looking for a part-time Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Job Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations in outpatient clinical office. Identify care gaps and meet quality measures. Assist physicians in reviewing lab results of patients. Mentor for clinical personnel (nurses and medical assistants) Liaison with patients, staff, providers and management Can perform independently or as part of a treatment team with or without nurse or MA's support Duties would include but not limited to: Provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medications with or without nurse or MA's support Educate patients about preventative care and the prescribed treatments. Manage patients who do not require complex medical management or specialized treatment. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients. Communicates professionally with patients served regardless of their age. Provide coverage backup for nurses or medical assistants when needed Complete charting and required paperwork in a timely manner. Contribute to the success of the practice Active participation in the development/review of office policies and procedures. Promotes a safety-conscious work force and maintains good housekeeping practices.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Licensed as a NP or a PA with a master's degree from an accredited advanced nurse practitioner program. Two-year post-degree experience in family medicine or internal medicine as a NP or PA is required. Proven excellent Quality and clinical
