Job Description

Company Description Lakeside Behavioral Health is a CARF-accredited outpatient mental health clinic based in St. Louis, Missouri, offering timely, evidence-based psychiatric care. Our services include outpatient medication management, individual therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and a virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP) available to patients across Missouri and Illinois. We specialize in mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and treatment-resistant depression, and tailor treatment plans to each patient's goals and clinical history. We are in-network with major commercial payers, Medicare, Missouri Medicaid, and TRICARE, and proudly serve the community—including working professionals, students, and military families. Role Description Lakeside Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing outpatient team. This is a primarily in-person position based in the St. Louis area, with potential for additional clinical work in the Metro East Illinois region. In this role, you will conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and develop individualized treatment plans for a diverse outpatient population. You will collaborate within a supportive, multidisciplinary team and be backed by dedicated administrative staff who handle scheduling, prior authorizations, refill requests, and other non-clinical duties—allowing you to focus on high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and administrative staff Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR Provide education and support to patients and their families Participate in clinical team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives Oversee treatment programs including TMS Qualifications Master's or Doctorate in Nursing with
PMHNP-BC
certification Eligibility for licensure as a PMHNP in both Missouri and Illinois Experience in outpatient psychiatry preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a collaborative care model Commitment to delivering patient-centered, high-quality psychiatric care
