Job Description Job Summary UW Health in northern Illinois seeks an experienced neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) to join our 32 bed Level
III NICU
team in the Women's & Children's Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. Our Level
III NICU
is staffed 24/7 by a Neonatologist and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, who are part of a multidisciplinary team of caregivers providing excellent and cost-effective care to our smallest patients. In this autonomous position, you will enjoy a collaborative practice which includes rounding to discuss and establish plan of care; performance of invasive procedures within the NNP scope of practice; attendance at high-risk deliveries, transport, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education.
Your clinical support includes:
Team of 6 neonatologists and 6NNPs. Over a dozen pediatric sub-specialists from UW Health are located in this beautiful facility and are available for consultation and collaboration. MFM collaboration and 24 hour in house OB hospitalist
Qualifications:
Master's degree from or completion of a master's level advanced practice nurse program. Active APRN license in State of IL and active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. Minimum 2 years' experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU. About the
