Responsibilities for urgent care nurse practitioner  The NP will provide occupational health services in this setting including but not limited to suturing, advising on managing broken bones; prescriptions as needed  The NP will perform privileged procedures as directed (e.g I and D and stitching)  Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical charts  After consultation with the Medical Director, oversees patient issues and concerns which may include but are not limited to patient medical care  Provides and manages direct patient care, including assessments, physical examinations, evaluations, diagnoses and treatment  Prescribes medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions  Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care options as appropriate  Communicates with patients regarding test results and appropriate clinical information as needed Qualifications for urgent care nurse practitioner  Unrestricted NP License  At least 1-2 years of experience as NP  Must have demonstrated effective interpersonal skills  Must possess skills in providing services for community outreach, including community education
