Full-Time, In-Person Night Shift Northeast Internal Medicine Associates, P.C. (NIMA) is seeking a motivated and dependable Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our hospital medicine team at Parkview Logansport Hospital . This is a full-time, in-person night shift position offering a highly desirable 7 nights on / 7 nights off schedule , providing a consistent schedule with 26 weeks off throughout the year. Position Responsibilities The Night Shift APP will provide overnight hospitalist coverage, including: Evaluate and manage new hospital admissions from the Emergency Department and other appropriate sources Complete comprehensive History & Physical examinations and admission documentation Provide overnight cross-coverage for hospitalized patients Respond to changes in patient condition and urgent clinical needs Order and interpret appropriate laboratory testing, imaging, and diagnostic studies Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans Collaborate with attending physicians, nursing staff, Emergency Department providers, specialists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team Respond to Rapid Responses and other acute changes in patient condition as appropriate Provide clear and thorough handoff communication to the daytime hospitalist team Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation Schedule 7 consecutive nights on / 7 consecutive nights off 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM In-person hospital coverage Consistent block scheduling allows for predictable time off and work-life balance Qualifications Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Indiana Current national board certification DEA registration and prescriptive authority as applicable BLS certification required; ACLS preferred Hospital medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or acute care experience preferred Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Ability to independently prioritize admissions and manage overnight cross-coverage while collaborating appropriately with supervising/attending physicians Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package that may include: Competitive base salary Quarterly productivity/RVU bonus opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance in accordance with company policy 401(k) eligibility with company match in accordance with company policy Employer-paid malpractice insurance Licensing and credentialing support Cell phone and mileage/gas reimbursement as applicable Predictable 7-on/7-off schedule About the Position This position is ideal for an APP who enjoys hospital medicine, acute patient care, and a high level of clinical autonomy within a collaborative physician-led team .
