POSITION SUMMARY
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will operate independently or as part of a small team to deliver high-quality mental health care services. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing comprehensive and patient-centered care, emphasizing mental health and wellness.QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing. High school diploma required.Experience:
6-12 months of experience in psychiatry is preferred. Substance use experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with AdvancedMD is also preferred but not required.Licensure:
Current licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP orPMHNP-BC
).Additional Requirements:
A thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, DHS, State Regulations, and Federal Regulatory Standards. Complete TB testing, Drug Screening, and Background check upon being hired.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Assessment:
• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic interviews. • Evaluate patients for mental health disorders, substance use, and any co-occurring conditions.Diagnosis and Treatment Planning:
• Formulate accurate psychiatric diagnoses based on clinical assessments and diagnostic criteria. • Develop personalized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions, therapy, and medication management.Therapeutic Interventions:
• Provide individual and possibly group therapy sessions using a range of therapeutic modalities. • Offer psychoeducation to clients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.Medication Management:
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. • Monitor medication efficacy, side effects, and overall treatment progress.Business Development:
• Partner with Business Development to attend networking events and create marketing resources for community.Note:

1. Ability to reach above and below the waist, turn, twist and to manipulate small tools (copier, computer, telephone, typewriter, calculator, safe, facsimile machine). 2.
