Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments utilizing advanced clinical skills and knowledge of physiology and mental health diagnosis criteria such as ICD-10 coding. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications in accordance with DEA regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate psychopharmacology, therapy, and other modalities. Manage patient care through telehealth platforms and in-person visits, ensuring seamless integration within our electronic health record (EHR) system of eClinicalWorks. Provide education on mental health conditions, medication administration, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies to patients and their families. Document all clinical encounters accurately in medical records while adhering to HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality and data security. Participate in case management activities including discharge planning, utilization review, and follow-up care coordination to optimize patient outcomes. Experience Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with current state licensure. Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient data management. Familiarity with clinical research methodologies and experience working within hospital environments or teaching hospitals is highly desirable. Knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes.
