Elkhorn Dermatology is a well-established and reputable dermatology office dedicated to providing exceptional care and personalized treatment options to our patients. Our team consists of Dr. Chase Wilson (board certified dermatologist), Office Manager, Clinical and Administrative staff. We offer comprehensive services in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. We are committed to staying at the forefront of advancements in dermatology and delivering the highest quality skincare to our patients.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our dynamic dermatology team. As a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in our dermatology office, you will work closely with Dr. Wilson to diagnose, treat, and manage various skin conditions and diseases. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients by providing compassionate care and expert medical advice.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive assessments, examinations, and medical histories of patients presenting with dermatological concerns. Diagnose and treat common skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. Perform minor dermatological procedures such as biopsies, incision and drainage, photodynamic therapy, microneedling, injections, etc. Perform skin cancer screenings and assist in the management of skin cancer patients. Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and treatments for dermatological conditions. Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient encounter. Collaborate effectively with the dermatology team to ensure optimal patient care and treatment outcomes. Stay updated with the latest advancements in dermatology and participate in continuing education opportunities. Administrative duties such as task, rx refills and results log for Dr. Wilson's patients as well as their own patients. (admin time will be added into the weekly schedule) Call coverage
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner program. Current Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner license. Experience or interest in dermatology is preferred, but new graduates with a strong passion for dermatology will also be considered. Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and treat various skin conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Dedication to providing high-quality patient care and delivering exceptional customer service.
