At CommonHealth Recovery, we are a leading provider of drug and alcohol treatment services across Kentucky. Licensed as both an AODE and DUI treatment facility, we serve Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial populations through outpatient programs including counseling, intensive outpatient programming (IOP), medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and case management. Our team of board-certified MDs, NPs, PAs, counselors, and administrators is united by a philosophy of evidence-based, harm reduction-focused care . Together, we support our clients in achieving their best possible health outcomes. The APRN will serve as the lead provider for the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program at CommonHealth Recovery's new Lexington, Kentucky location, scheduled to open August 3, 2026.

Schedule Part-time, two days per week (18 to 22 hours)
Shift:
8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Days:
Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday (candidate selects two) Hours will expand as patient census grows, with a path to full-time We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to provide care in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) . The ideal candidate will be licensed in Kentucky, have experience in addiction medicine and co-occurring mental health treatment, and demonstrate a patient-centered, ethical approach.
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct patient examinations and review medical histories. Diagnose health conditions and illnesses, including substance use disorders. Prescribe and manage medications such as Buprenorphine and Naltrexone , ensuring accurate documentation. Obtain and review KASPER reports at intake and at least every 3 months to guide treatment. Verify opioid withdrawal using standardized instruments (e.g., COWS ). Implement treatment plans requiring behavioral modification and adherence. Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, disease prevention, and recovery practices. Document treatment plans and encounter notes consistent with clinical, billing, and compliance standards. Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications Active Kentucky APRN license and NPI. Unrestricted DEA license for controlled substances and Buprenorphine prescribing. Completion of SAMHSA-approved MAT training or equivocal experience in a MAT setting. Familiarity with DEA, SAMHSA, and Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure (KBML) regulations.
Preferred:
PMHNP certification and experience in addiction psychiatry. Strong knowledge of SUD treatment, co-occurring mental health disorders, and crisis intervention. Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must pass background check and drug screening. Must not appear on any federal exclusion lists.
