As a PRN Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to improve health outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based practices. Your contributions will help ensure seamless patient experiences and uphold the highest standards of medical excellence. Duties Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments across various specialties including primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and specialty clinics such as gastroenterology or dermatology. Manage acute and chronic conditions by developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and performing procedures such as suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, and spinal taps. Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks; document findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on disease management, medication administration, nutrition, and health coaching to promote wellness and prevent illness. Assist with triage in urgent care or emergency settings; determine urgency levels and coordinate appropriate follow-up or referrals. Support specialized procedures including botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, esthetic laser treatments, or sonography as needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and post-acute care coordination. Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and sterile processing standards during procedures. Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice in the respective state; DEA license preferred for prescribing controlled substances. Proven experience in diverse clinical environment Strong proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms; familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10). Demonstrated skills in performing advanced procedures like venipuncture, phlebotomy, tube feeding management, and airway management techniques. Critical care experience including ICU or PICU settings; experience with ventilators and dialysis is highly desirable. Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols and acute pain management strategies. Ability to work independently with excellent patient assessment skills; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus. Excellent communication skills coupled with a strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology knowledge.
