Job Description

MDB Health Services Overview MDB provides medical and psychiatric services to residents in long-term care facilities (LTCs) in Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas. We are the largest healthcare provider in LTC in the region, and we have an outstanding team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and therapists. We have been providing services in LTC settings for over 12 years, and we have a very strong reputation among both clinicians and LTCs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide wound care to residents in long-term care facilities. Conduct thorough wound assessments and develop personalized care plans for each patient. Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other wound care procedures as needed. Continuously monitor and assess patients' progress in wound healing. Educate patients and facility staff on effective wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and best practices. Travel to designated nursing homes in your area. Communicate regularly with key facility staff, physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. Manage pain related to wounds to ensure patient comfort. Maintain flexibility while seeing patients during weekday working hours.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current Nurse Practitioner license in Louisiana. Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOCN) is preferred but not required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care and/or foot care. Strong clinical skills in assessment and treatment of wounds and foot conditions. Independent, organized, and motivated to provide exceptional patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
