AFC Urgent Care is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver high-quality, walk-in care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. In this fast-paced, patient-focused clinic, you will independently evaluate and treat patients of all ages, perform minor procedures, and interpret diagnostics such as X-rays, EKGs, and labs. You'll document in a modern EMR, collaborate closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team, and contribute to occupational medicine services. This role offers broad clinical exposure while helping expand convenient, affordable healthcare access in the community. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients of all ages with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries in an urgent care setting. Perform minor procedures, including suturing, splinting, I&D, and wound care. Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests such as X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory studies. Document encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR while maintaining regulatory and payer compliance. Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, radiology, and support staff to ensure coordinated, patient-focused care. Participate in occupational medicine services, such as employment physicals and workers' compensation visits, as needed. Support quality improvement, safety, and clinical best practices within a fast-paced, walk-in clinic environment.
